3 Days, 3 Quotes: Day 3

Day 3 is here!  For my final quote ( I just love this quote) don’t expect anything too profound.  I love humor.  I would say a great majority of my writing contains at least some element of humor (even if only to me.)

This quote tickles my funny bone in just the right way.  As a lover of books, this is pretty much perfect.

Final thanks go to Liz Fountain for this fun challenge.
For my 3rd nomination I name Eric Ian Huffman,  who may choose to accept the 3 days, 3 quotes challenge or not.  Be sure to check out his website for his great poetry.

3 Days, 3 Quotes: Day 2

Again thanks to Liz Fountain for her nomination for the 3 Days, 3 Quotes.

Growing up I always loved Winnie the Pooh.  I may possibly have been the only high schooler to invite friends over to watch Winnie the Pooh on VHS.  Okay, that was a while ago…  anyhow… there are just so many great Winnie the Pooh quotes, “There’s a rumbly in my tumbly”, etc. it was hard to choose, but here is my quote for today.

“People say nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.”
A.A. Milne, Winnie-the-Pooh

For my second nomination for the 3 Days, 3 Quotes challenge I nominate Ottilie Weber.  Ottilie is the author of several novels and short stories.  Check out her wonderful blog to find out what’s going on with her and read about the books she’s written.

Check back tomorrow for my last quote!

3 Days, 3 Quotes: Day One

Thanks go to Liz Fountain for tagging me in the 3 Days, 3 Quotes challenge.  She has two great books out, An Aliens Guide to World Domination and You, Jane, which you can read an excerpt of on her site.  Also, be sure to check her site for the 3 quotes she posted.  She has a great sense of humor and compassion and it’s always a delight to read her blogs.

One of my favorite books is Griffin Loves Phoenix.  It was adapted from the TV movie Griffin and Phoenix, starring Peter Falk and Jill Clayburgh, which is also good.  It is a humorous look at two people with cancer (as funny as that can be.)  Apparently, this was also remade as a movie in 2006, which I did not see.  I love this scene and I know it’s not exactly a quotable quote, but it was just great.

Phoenix: [while they’re sitting on a bench waiting for the sun to rise facing west] You ever not want a new day to start?

Griffin: Why do you think we’re facing in this direction?

I will nominate three people who may or may not choose to accept it.  (Even if they don’t post a quote, their sites are worth reading!)  For my first tag of three other bloggers for the challenge I nominate:

Bianca Bowers  – She has a great blog with life, writing advice and poetry.  Definitely worth checking out!
